Same thing here, but for any file, on both PS CC 2019 and PS CC 2018.
Ctrl+P or File>Print = PS hangs with no message and has to be closed by task manager.

Stop posting this stupid video, This is not a fix. How is getting rid of all my preferences a fix? At best this is a workaround.

Yes, this video should be removed from youtube. It's a band-aid, not a fix. Photoshop should not be advertised as professional software if it crashes when doing simple repetitive tasks, such as opening the Print dialogue. They've crippled the software somewhere along the line as it never used to do this.

If you hold down the spacebar when you select File > Print... does it work correctly?

Well... I tried the spacebar-holding and it worked. The I tried without pressing the spacebar... and it worked.
In short: it ́s working again and I don't know why, because I didn't update anything other than the normal windows updates.

Photoshop is unique from other applications in that it stores settings from the driver in the file.

If the driver settings are conflicting with a newer driver or printer (crashing the driver and taking Photoshop down with it), holding down the spacebar when you print flushes out the old settings and grabs new settings.

Have you tried completely uninstalling the print driver and reinstalling it? Do you have more than one printer driver installed?

Same problem. Have not been able to print from Photoshop CC for some time. Tried spacebar, tried rolling back a version, no luck. If I try to Print any file, Photoshop CC crashes (Adobe Photoshop CC 2019 has stopped working).

Under Control Panel > Devices and Printers, I have more than one printer (Adobe PDF, our physical printer). Does that mean I have more than one print driver installed? I have no idea which print driver I would need to reinstall. I cannot print from any Adobe CC products.

Hi Erica,

I think this other printers (Adobe PDF, Microsoft Print PDF, Microsoft XPS Document Writer and any other that you can have) doesn't need a driver because they are built-in on OS. I'm not sure about that information, but is what I think about it.

It's very weird only Adobe Apps crashed when try to print. I think they (Adobe) don't have any idea about what is going on and to avoid say that, they keep saying to reinstall driver, clear Adobe App preferences and etc.

Here in Brazil we paid an expensive bill to wear Adobe Photography Suite and don't have any support on our native language, need look for solution in some forum or blog and when try to send a complain to they, we don't even have acess to some e-mail or phone.

I'm migratin to ON1 Photo Raw and recommend to you do the same, if is possible to you. The support is better and as well the price.

I am having this same issue. I've tried previous versions of Photoshop and nothing has worked. I thought it might have been an issue with my computer so I went and bought a new laptop since my other one was so old and it is doing it on the brand new one too.

Hi Mandy,

I bearly believe that this problem isn't in your computer since more people have the same problem and the others softwares probably work well when you try to print.

For some reason this problem only occur on Adobe Apps and looks like they don't care too much about their customers problems. Like I said to Erica above, I'm migratin to ON1 Photo Raw and recommend to you do the same, if is possible to you. The support is better and as well the price.

Epson L805, last driver version installed (2.50.00), Windows 10 Pro Build 1803. Holding spacebar don't chance anything. I already opened every link, tutorial, post, blog that I found on Google and nothing works.

Hi Fernando, I'm not seeing any crash reports from you. please submit all Crash Reports along with your email address: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/submit-crash-reports.html

It may also help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help > System Info... and copy/paste the text in a reply.

Same issue with me. Holding down spacebar doesn't help. It doesn't happen with all images, but it does happen even after a system reboot, restart Photoshop, go straight to print and PS shuts down immediately. I can't print either the .psd or the .jpg of the picture I want to print. Lightroom prints it with no problem. Size of the .jpg is 12.3 MB. Size of the .psd is 215 MB. Printer is a Canon Pro-10.

Note that the Crash Reporter doesn't appear when PS shuts down. I even made the change to the Windows 10 registry as suggested on that page, and then did a reboot. When I type Ctrl+P to bring up the print dialog PhotoShop just ... shuts down. No message, no Crash Reporter dialog, no nothing.

This has happened to me a few times, always after some sort of printer crash or power outage, always whatever file was open at the time. The ONLY thing that works for me to fix it is making a new file with the same specs as the old one, save it with a new name, and then go back to the one that crashes and duplicate the layers into the new file and save. No problems after that.

I was having the same problem. I reset all preferences and warning dialogs (screenshot attached) and the problem is now resolved. It happens due to a corrupt preference file.

This is NOT a **SOLUTION!**

Resetting Preferences means having to reboot Photoshop and having to redo all of your personal Preferences settings EVERY TIME, as well as reloading all Presets. If this is the best they can come up with then I'll uninstall this garbage.

Funnily enough, my old version of CS5 not only runs 10x quicker and rarely crashes, it also remembers all document print settings and never crashes when opening the Print dialogue.

I had hoped the December 2019 update would have addressed this problem but Adobe continue to ignore it, as they have done for years. Please us some of your vast profits to employ PROPER PROGRAMMERS. You may find a few at your local primary school.
