Photoshop 2018: Unlinked layer mask no longer respects image resize, canvas resize, flip/rotate

This issue should be fixed with the Photoshop CC 2018 (19.1.2) update which is now available. 
Please install the update and let us know if you still see this issue.

To update, click Update next to Photoshop CC in the Creative Cloud desktop application.
If you don't see the update right away, click the 3 dots in the upper right and choose Check for App Updates.

Thanks for the report. I tested that on my Mac 10.13.3 with 19.1 and I'm not seeing it. What OS are you using? Would you go to Help > System Info and then copy and paste that window please?

Any response back on that system info?

I tested another machine running 10.13.2 and I wasn't seeing it there either. Would you mind making a screen capture of the behavior?

600px x 600px – note mask is unlinked

image size to 1200px x 1200 px – mask has not resized

Original 600x600px and then canvas size to 1200x600px adding canvas only to the left. Note – mask has not stayed at right edge with image and is in fact been left way over on the left (you can only see this in the layer palette icon at this point)

You found a bug - nice work. I reproduced it and will submit a report. I'm still looking for possible workarounds but I'll keep you posted as the issue progresses.

can confirm, explains a few errors i got resizing bigger documents in the last days. please fix.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Photoshop CC 2018 doesn't Flip UnLinked Mask will using Flip Canvas Hor/Vert.

While using the Flip Canvas Horizontal or Vertical features, Photoshop CC 2018 (not the case before) doesn't flip Unlink Mask.

It's really annoying will in Digital Painting we use a lot this feature too verify the proportions of the drawing...

Hannah, Thanks again for your time and quick response. Additionally, unlinked layer masks no longer scale with their parent folder. This is a different behavior than before as unlinking decoupled the layer mask from its layer. Everything within the folder should scale as a unit.
