Photoshop 20.0 – Free Transform Bug

In the newest PS version (20.0), all shortcuts in Free Transform Tool doesn’t work as they should and always worked. No mention about any changes here in New Features, so it is an evident bug. I had to downgrade to a previous version to be able to work at all.

It’s another topic. I’m writing about Free Transform Tool in Edit Menu. There are many Transform tolls in Edit Menu with particular transformations, like Scale, Rotate, Scew, Distort, Perspective, Warp etc. and they work OK. But Most pros (like me) use Free Transform Tool, when you can combine all those transformation in one tool using keyboard shortcuts as mouse function modifiers. For example you can correct perspective in Free Transform tool with the mouse+Ctrl+Shift+Alt. And THESE keyboard modifiers only doesn’t work correctly  in version 20.0.

Adobe removed the need to hold the shift key to keep the aspect ratio, so in all key combinations that included the shift key you may try what happens if you leave that one out. Holding down only Ctlr (Cmd on the Mac)+Alt and then dragging a corner with the mouse will now work for perspective corrections.

Thanks. It really works well without a shift key now. I didn't think this change includes all old key combinations in all tools

So it’s  high time to update all tutorials and help files, where this new information is still mixed with old procedures, like e.g. here: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/free-transformations-images-shapes-paths.html
