Photoshop 19.1.2: Opened document(s) is/are invisible coming back Photoshop after using 'win d' or 'alt tab' in Windows
Another, already 3rd bug I found in CC2018 (19.1.2) on Windows 10. I can't say in which version / update that started as I switched directly from CS6 EXTENDED to CC2018. I could not find any relevant topic on this forum so I created new one, however that is impossible noone reported it yet, is it?!
After using 'win d' (that takes me to desktop) or changing application by 'alt tab', and then come bad to Photoshop any document isn't displayed. If I use 'ctr tab' that selects document as active - next opened in a row, nothing happens. I may do many operations on document that is not visible (incl. its window). Trying to change 'Screen Mode' or checking in Workspace Preferences 'Open Documents as Tabs' does not change anything. They are still not accessible. I tried it on 2 different Computers (work and home)!
The only what I can do is to click on Ps icon - that is on Down Windows Bar - and select any document there is opened. Still I can't switch to any other untill I choose it this way as well. That is of course not a solution, but alternative and longer way to access opened document. I leave often to desktop or move between applications and I never had problem with it (CS6). I am not sure how that was in 19.1.1 vers.

That is definitely weird...
I've gone ahead and logged a bug. Thank you very much for your detailed testing; it's actually quite helpful. Want to be in our prerelease program? *grin*
Thanks,
David

Windows Settings / Display / Scale and Layout = 125%
If I select Windows / Arrange / Tile, the documents are still there after a Win-d.
Windows 10 Pro 64 bit version 1709 Build 16299.309

CS 6, CC 2013, CC 2014:
- pressing 'win d' that takes to desktop, and then 'win d' that takes back to Photoshop:
document is not displayed
- if then I change 'View / Screen Mode' or 'ctrl (shift) tab' or switch application by 'alt tab' to come back to Ps by using 'alt tab':
document is displayed (even if then I change 'View / Screen Mode' again, but this time to normal)
I assume these behaviours are CORRECT as it seems it was always like it.
Only 'win d' to leave to desktop and then 'win d' to be back could display a document displayed before leaving Ps, but it does not. It would be very useful if it did, but let us focus on things this post is about...
CC (2015, 2015.5, 2017):
All like in CS6 and previous CC releases except that 'View / Screen Mode' doesn't display document back after leaving to desktop by 'win d' and coming back pressing it again.
CC 2018 (19.0.0, 19.0.1, 19.1.0, 19.1.1, 19.1.2):
Additionally to that functionallity that was broken in CC (2015, 2015.5, 2017) now after leaving to desktop by 'win d' and coming back pressing it again, 'alt tab' does not work to display opened document.
A short illustration what works while document is opened & displayed and what stopped when after pressing 'win d' (to leave to desktop), a 'win d' shortcut is pressed again (to come back to Photoshop):
CS 6, CC (2013, 2014):
WORKS:
- 'ctrl (shift) tab' to access next/previous document
- changing 'View / Screen Mode' to other (& to normal)
CC (2015, 2015.5, 2017):
WORKS:
- 'ctrl (shift) tab' to access next/previous document
BROKEN:
- changing 'View / Screen Mode' to other (& to normal)
CC 2018:
BROKEN:
- 'ctrl (shift) tab' to access next/previous document
- changing 'View / Screen Mode' to other (& to normal)
Ps. that is not related, but when updating CC 2018 (19.0.0), it makes update to the latest one so 19.1.2. If I wanted to have for ex. 19.0.1 I had to uninstal any CC 2018 to just instal that I want. It shouldn't work this way.

It's possible to use some commands from 'View' menu like: 'Zoom In', Zoom Out', 'Fit to Screen', 'Fit Artboard on Screen', '100%', '200%', 'Print Size' to display current document on the screen. It is pity only active one, because there is still no convinient way (like that was before introducing this bug) to access / display all other minimised documents.

For me using Windows / Arrange / Consolidate to Tabs docks them all to the PS main document window and then Float All in Windows undocks them unminimized, but it doesn't sprinkle them across multiple monitors like they were before you did the WinLogo-D I don't think.

Still this method is not solution for some cases. Firstly, we had to set some shortcut to press each time we are back to Photoshop, even two or record some action (not talking of users who can't script). Secondly if we had arranged opened documents some way then with this method after being back to Photoshop they all would be rearanged to cascade.
...and of course there is problem for multi monitor users you noticed - all their images are going to be collected into one screen.
