Photoshop 19.1: Polar Co-ordinates Filter crash

Photoshop is crashing (message is Photoshop has stopped working) when applying the Polar Co-ordinates filter to a 16 bit image in Photoshop 19.1.0
It works fine in CC v19.1.0 with 8 bit images
It works fine in CC2017.1.1 on both 8 bit and 16 bit

My system is Windows 10 with GPU AMD7970 3GB
I have reset preferences and the same happens

Dave

Hi Everyone,

This should be resolved in the update to Photoshop that is now available. Please open your Creative Cloud, update Photoshop and let us know how it goes!

Thank you!

Thank you Dave and Chad. Glad you are working on a fix. Just wanted to confirm Dave's report. Same thing is happening to me on two different computers that worked well before the update and will now only apply polar coordinates on 8 bit images and crash on 16 bit images.

Thank you,
Jimmy

Same problem with me, but not when downscaling pictures to 1000x1000 pix or smaller. My system: Windows 10 Pro, x64, Intel Xeon CPU E3-1505M v5 @2.80GHz, 32GB RAM

I am having the same problem and have tested extensively. The only thing that causes the crash is the image being 16 bits. The size of the image has not affect on my machine. 8 bit for the same image works fine. This was not a problem up until the last PS CC update.
Thanks
Allen

Hi, having the same problems but with more of the distortion filters, 16 bits, windows 10, updated Nvidia, used ccleaner, reset preferences in photoshop. Hope it will be solved soon.

Kind regards, Ans

Hannah:
The polar coordinates filter now works with 16 bit files. A new problem has emerged. Camera Raw Filter does not work in Photoshop.
