Have you reset your Preferences since updating? If you try that, it might set things straight for you, but be sure to save any presets you've created and not saved to disk yet.

Thanks for your reply
Yeah, I've got my keyboard shortcuts set the other way round (Cmd+H to hide Photoshop and Cmd+Opt+H to view Extras). Has worked fine for years until the Photoshop 19 update. The dropdown menu command to Hide Photoshop doesn't work either. Only way to hide Photoshop now is to close the window or move it out of the way and then click in the Finder. Same problem on three different machines.
Yes, have already tried junking the Preferences file – unfortunately to no avail.
Searched the web and saw a number of people are reporting the same problem in various forums but no one from Adobe seems to have replied to any of them so I thought I'd post here in the hope of an official reply.
Cheers, Gobit

Johan – Yes, it is hard when it's an issue which doesn't affect everyone and others can't reproduce it. Funny thing is we have it on three different machines, all running the same macOS and Photoshop, but otherwise configured differently, but none with any third Photoshop party plug-ins.
It does seem we're not alone though https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2414779
Cristen – the "Hide Photoshop" menu item isn't missing, it's there, it's not greyed out, it just doesn't do anything when we click on it.

Yes, the command is there if there are one or more files open or no files at all. Clicking on the command just doesn't do anything.
Don't upgrade for a while ;-)
