Lightroom Classic/Photoshop: Defaults to TIFF when saving a RAW file, I want this to be PSD. How do I do that?

Just select TIFF in the 'Save as' dialog.

Thanks, but what I want is for a RAW file to default to saving as a PSD after I do any editing.  So I can just click on the "x" on the file's tab without having to worry about the file type.  It used to do this before I updated to the current version.

Open a raw file and select 'Save As,' select 'Save as type,' then hold down the CTRL key and click on Photoshop PSD. It should now default to PSD file format when opening a raw file with ACR and editing in PS. If using LR 'Edit in PS' you'll need to change the 'External Editing'' settings in LR's Preferences.

I unselect the option in LR's catalog settings under the Metadata tab
