image adjustment reverts to original image after processing
On some images, after using LEVELS, EXPOSURE, BRIGHTNESS & CONTRAST, or SHADOW & HIGHLIGHT (probably many more adjustments) the image reverts to its original state.

I have a client that recently bought an Asus laptop with Win 8 on it. She is an artist so she wants to print 8x10 images on a heavy matte paper. When she prints on thinner paper, or tells it to print on "thick, plain paper" it prints the whole image. If she chooses Matte photo paper it will not print the whole image but spits out the image half- way printed. She used a lot of ink trying to trouble shoot this. I could get it to print fine on plain paper but anything else it spits it out half way.
We configured the printer for 8x10 (through Elements) but it refuses to print it all out. Now she's mad at me because I haven't solved her issue. I have no clue if it's the program, the printer or a windows 8 problem. I have a feeling it's a photoshop issue but it could be the printer as well. Ideas????

E.G. I took an image off a web page. A bar graph of rainfall in my home town.
The original image is so small I can't even read it.
So I saved it, Imported it into Photoshop. Enlarged it. But sadly this step does not add additional pixels to fill out the image. The enlarged image was very blurry.
I sharpened it about 7 times. Not too bad for the bar graph. But the wording was stil pretty blurry.
So I ERASEd what I didn't like. Used HORIZONTAL TYPE to insert the words in a readable format. SAVED and SAVED AS. All I ever got to see was the original image when I went to where I saved it. The only place I see the corrected version is on the Photoshop screen.
I have PhotoShop 10.
Thanks
