I have Photoshop 21.0.3 running on Mojave and have some lags and freezes in the performance of the pen path tool

Every 5 to 10 path stroke I have lags and freezes in the behavior of the pen path tool.
Is this a known issue ?
Could this be Wacom related ?
I am running photoshop on a Retina 5 k 27 inch
3.6 GHZ intel core i9
128 GB 2667 MHz DDR4
Radeon Pro Vega 48  8 GB

and the Intros medium  pro on the latest driver
