Folder masks don't scale when changing image size

I recently made an image with very detailed masks on a folder. I unlinked them also to avoid moving them around with their contents.
As a last step I wanted to lower the resolution, because the initial resolution was too high, about 4000x3500.
The resulting image should be about 2000 pixels wide.

Well after changing the image size (with ctrl-i, "image" => "image size") guess what:
The masks DIDNT SCALE! I don't know what happened to them, well, the image just looked quite f****ed up after that.

I think this is NOT supposed to happen. I think I've found yet another bug in the 2018 release (yes, latest update)

not sure what detailed mask you make, but if  you have some "styles" mask it has to be "scale styles " selected in image size dialog left top corner

Yes, this was enabled. But there aren't styles involved anyway, just masking content inside a layer folder.
