Fix Saving feature in Photoshop

When I saving the file (Save As...) and click on the file in Finder with another extension (e.g. name.png)  it's not changing to PNG in dropdown, instead leaves default – Photoshop.

Every time I experience a bug when file gets a .png extension in the name but really saves as .psd file (?!)

I'd like to click on supported image file (e.g. JPG) and get change automatically to JPEG in "Format" dropdown. Review this.
