Filter controls

Looking for more robust filter controls for all of the effects essentially. Good examples would be the Wind filter, no vertical direction controls, no real intensity setting just three presets. Another would be the halftone effect which has no preview and only does colour (the black and white colour mode is just as annoying). Don't expect this to be picked up because I'm being brief, should definitely be a discussion.
