Fill selection on Photoshop 7.0

I've always filled in blocks of colour by creating a selection box and then right clicking and going to "fill" which would then bring up a dialogue box with foreground/ background colour and opacity etc. fill options.
For some reason, now when I right click in a selection and go to "fill" it switches to the colour selection dropper tool and then won't let me select a colour to fill! This is frustrating! I've figured out a work around, but when you do something so often it becomes a muscle memory action, it's then really hard to work effectively doing it an alternative way! It feels like there should be a setting somewhere that I've managed to change without realising, but I can't find it... any thoughts?

Sounds like the Fill dialog is off screen.

Have you had a second monitor hooked up recently?

Resetting the ps7 preferences should work to get the Fill dialog back:

Reset the photoshop 7 preferences.

Press and hold down the Shift+Ctrl+Alt keys just after starting the launch of photoshop 7

(you have to be quick about holding all three keys down or you won't get the below dialog)

Keep holding the keys down until you get a dialog asking to Delete the Adobe Photoshop settings file

Press Yes

Amazing! Thanks so much, that did the job..... I have two monitors set up anyway, but I do remember I'd had them switched over at some point so it may be left over from then.

Thanks again!
