Drop layer in bottom of folder

Hi,

In Photoshop CS6 when I drop layer(s) in a folder, they appear BELOW all other layer in the folder.

In Photoshop CC, when dropping layer(s) in a folder they appear ABOVE all others layers in the folder.

MY QUESTION : Is there a way to set this ? (my favorite is "below" :) )

thank's.

I'm not aware of any automatic way to specify where the layer is inserted when dragging over a closed folder. I tend to think on top is more intuitive, as I tend to work bottom to top as my work develops.

I suppose the only control you have is to open the folder and slot it in place, although with a lot of layers that can be cumbersome indeed.

For my own, creation step starts with some unnamed layers everywhere.
When comme the moment to tidy a bit layers, I create folders, then move layers inside.
I'm more comfortable with starting from the background (bottom) to the last icon on top

Considering how difficult it can be to drag something to the bottom, scrolling while keep the mouse button held -- It is a fair request.

" ...scrolling while keep the mouse button held"

I've forgot that point, and you're right.

With the Magic Mouse I have the feeling that it was easier, I can't rememeber well if we can scroll whille dragging layers.

With a basic mouse, you can only scroll by dragging down the list, wait, then the list moves up.

I can't use the wheel mouse while dragging layers (looks logical, but you can do it on Finder / Mac Os 10.14.5 while dropping a file in a multiple folders list)

Hold shift when you drag into the group for sending to the bottom.
Top is where it should have been defaulting to all along, so Adobe finally changed that behavior.
