ADD: straight line "rubber band" with Brush Tool

Please add a "rubber band" to the shift-tap straight line feature with the Brush Tool.

When the user holds down the Shift Key they will see a "rubber band" line. Tapping again would draw the line to the canvas with the Brush Tool. Releasing the Shift Key before tapping would cancel the rubber band.

What would the "rubber band" do besides draw a straight line?  PS already has a straight line using the shift key as you describe, as it makes a line straight.   I'm confused of what you want a "rubber band" to do.

I'm guessing from his description, what he wants is a "proxy" for the line that will be drawn if he releases the shift key. This would let him adjust the angle of the straight line before committing to it. Perhaps a french curve type of precision drawing tool will make it into PS, as that seems to me more like what he's asking for.

Or user-adjustable perspective grids, or the ability to draw guides at any angle, or create guides from paths. Something that would be a little less loosey-goosey. Lots of people do seem to want more precise drawing capabilities in PS.

The "rubber band" feature would make it easier to see where the line will be painted. By "rubber band" I mean a feature similar to the line that you see when you use Command-click with the Lasso tool.
