3D in Photoshop and color spaces

From my current understanding, you cannot use any color type other than RGB for 3d in Photoshop CC. (If there is already a way I would love to know, but I don't think there is.)

RBG is very limited and behaves unnaturally when applying light sources. (For example make a strong orange 3d object in RBG and shine extra lighting on it and watch it turn yellow on the highlights instead of a lighter shade of orange.)

My suggestion is to make 3d work with other color spaces so this is not a problem.
