Photoshop Express: Sept 13, 2013 update for iOS missing purchased additions

In app purchases missing after updating to the 'new look' PS Express today 13 September 2013, all my purchased borders and effects such as twirl etc cannot be found. If these can't be updated then the new updated app is pretty useless compared to the previous app I enjoyed using. How do I fix this?

Chris, how was that post off topic? Please, explain it to me.

It was completely ON topic.

I asked what, if any, Adobe's response and/o rcomments to this thread are, other than those at the top.

People are very angry that Adobe has taken money from people who paid for product(s) that is no longer available. Adobe has replaced that with a vastly inferior product, and in a lot of area's are completely gone.

If the current app was the first time I'd used PS Express, I would NOT purchase them. I can only assume that the continued deletion of my comments has become a personal grudge.

The way I see it, there several ways to solve this:

1. Refund all moneys to those who purchased upgrade backs, removing Premium Look.

2. Offer the old and new product on the app store, noting that no further development will be offered on the last version

3. Incorporate the old packs (quickly) into the new app, keeping the same algorithms the same.

Silence from Adobe just demonstates its contempt of us, paying customers. If you feel the need to delete this comment, please provide the relevant contact details to the PS Express development group, not the usual feedback details because if the app stays as is, I will be requesting a refund and will take it further if I'm refused. In the UK there is such a thing as trading standards!

"Chris Cox, a moderator for Photoshop Family, gave this reason for the change: "still obviously off topic - this topic is about how to restore your purchased additions, and that is all. Please stay on topic"

Chris, are you stupid or just trying to wind me up? Have you properly read the posts on here, how can this thread continue if we are to stay on your version of what is on topic?

THERE IS NO WAY TO RESTORE THE PREVIOUS PURCHASED ADDITIONS!!!

Adobe took our money and then s**t on us from a great height and we'd like to know what Adobe is going to do about it. NOBODY LIKES THE NEW APP!

I agree with everyone on this subject...this update is crap...I'm very disappointed and will use another app Adobe...if you don't find a way to redo what we ALL loved before this stupid update...we paid and you played us...I'll use Snapseed & VSCO for their awesome features..BTW...where's the update of how to refund us our money for the additional features we paid for...we are not stupid consumers...

Chris you're a jerk. It was completely on topic, there is no way to restore the expansion packs but please, enlighten us all on how we restore thise packs back into this new app. It's obvious you haven't read this thread as most posts are venting anger, not discussing how restore. How can something be discussed when it's impossible to do?

I don't disguise the use of profanity nor do I hide behind a keyboard, in fact the use of any profanity is impossible as the comments are screened prior to publishing. I've voiced my opinions on here for all to see and I use my real name. Taking down these comments is just damaging Adobe's already damaged reputation even further.

For the other people on here, Chris Cox hides away deleting all posts that he doesn't like the look of or puts Adobe in a bad light. Like all jobsworths do. You can see this by all the 'This post has been removed......'

Ban me if you like Chris, I don't give a damn. I'm done with you and I'm done with Adobe. Mind you, maybe I should start a new thread with the topic being 'Cox by name, Cox by nature!

Darren thank you, I can't say how many posts of mine have been removed for being 'off topic' when they were in fact right 'on topic', but dear old Chrissie didn't like them! You do realise this will be whipped off as soon as she sees it, this time it'll be for 'attacking a moderator, without just cause'......bang 'on topic' if you ask me!

Everyone should email a complaint to Apple. We've been ripped off well and truly. They took away what we paid for. It's like buying a car and taking it away when the new model is out 12 months later saying, this is the new model, you either take it or you don't. But, if you do take it all the optional extra's you got for the old model? Weel, tough, you've lost them!

Whilst I'm in the mood for being 'removed'. Ian Parks, he who cannot string together more than two words, and they being of one syllable, is a complete jerk who couldn't manage a p*ss up in a brewery, never mind an app upgrade.

God, that felt good!!!!!

How's this for off topic Chris. F**k off you moronic b***ard. Read the posts yourself, most of them have nothing to do with restoring expansion packs. Delete these all you want, everyone sees them. P**ks!

Adobe Noise Reduction Pack Missing!!.

After updating Photoshop Express on my iPhone 4 with IOS 7, all of my in app purchases are missing. I purchased the Adobe Camera Pack for$4.99 and Adobe Effect Pack for $2.99. I no longer have access to these features. The restore features under settings doesn't work either. It's like I just gave Adobe my money for nothing. And it's a shame too because the Noise Reduction every day. Both the phone and online chat help and service are useless and tell you to go to the forums for an answer. So here I am. Help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Andrew,
The camera pack is still there, it is just in a different location. If you go to the corrections page (bottom center icon on editing screen), you will see "Noise" as a correction slider. If you purchased the camera pack previously, this should restore through either the shopping cart or through the settings menu. The effects pack is now called the looks pack, but this should also restore for you. A number of the effects were no longer possible with the new rendering engine, but we are working on adding new effects to upcoming releases. In addition, we have added quite a few new looks to the app.

PS Express new version.

Where are my borders I paid for on previous version??

Hi Julie,
In the new version there are a number of new borders that we have added. The previous borders contain a number of things that we could no longer replicate with our new rendering engine, but we are exploring ways to recreate many of them. I encourage you to fill out our survey so that we can prioritize borders that you want:

But the new borders are nothing short of crap! There are far less than I PAID for. There are less effects (premium looks as you call them now, tho there is nothing premium about them!!) than I PAID for. Surely taking our money then removing the products is taking money by deception?! If you couldn't recreate what we PAID for, we should have been given the option to keep the old app and not get this completely new one. Under no circumstances can it be called an upgrade! It is totally, 100% a DOWNgrade! I would like my money back please. Also, when these NEW (replicated) borders and effects become available but I am not paying a monthly subscription, I assume I will still be able to access them as I have previously PAID for them??!!

If not then I want my money back please.

The big question has always been, 'why try to fix something that wasn't broken'? You can dress it up all you like, but it's still not a patch on the previous version and never will be, but then again Ian, it keeps you in a job.

Ian, I think Adobe had best start looking at ways of refunding customers who paid for expansion packs for the last version. I purchased all available packs and I for one, want every single penny back.

I've already raised what has happened to this app and Adobe's response with Apple, I'm sure there are scores of others who have done the same. I'm not interested in the new app or it's sub-standard offerings, nor am I interested in being asked to pay yet again for any new packs in the future for the current version. What I paid for has been removed, I'd like to be refunded for it. If Adobe had publically stated what their plans were with this app, I wouldn't have paid my money.

There was absolutely nothing wrong with last version. The app could have been given iOS 7 wrapping whilst keeping the same rendering engine.

While we're at it Ian, Chris Cox who is supposed to be a moderator has done nothing but inflame an already infuriating problem. The arrogance and contempt shown by Chris removing peoples comments (the poster above, S Branley had several removed) claiming they're off topic when they were ON topic (basically deleting anything that looks less than great for Adobe) does nothing to calm this situation.

Chris, it had the same relevance as the post above from S branley.

Off topic, off topic, off topic. It's the only input you have, condescending t*at! You even hide behind a missleading name you robotic bell end. I'll start another thread, all about you so it is on topic!

Nor do I know how you have the cheek to brand anyone insulting after the way Adobe insulted everyone who bought upgrades for the last app by taking their money, by deception!

I can see that many feel the same frustration that I do. I'm sure they realize for every person that took the time to do something about this there are 100's more who feel the same way. I created an account in hopes of getting my favorite app back.

You shouldn't be able to remove features if someone has paid for the app!

Who did you test it on, 4 year old children?
