Revel: Why do I have duplicate photos on Elements 12 after uploading to Revel?

Why do I end up with 2 copies of all my photos on Elements 12 organizer after I upload them to Revel via adoberevel.com. Am using Windows 7.

I have the same problem on Mac OS. If I add the photos to a Revel album inside Elements 12 it makes a copy of every file. If I add the photos through the Revel interface it then downloads to Elements and everything is fine. Elements Organizer is not Organizing!!

Elements 12 duplicates all files uploaded to Revel.

Take a look at this link about duplicate photos. This can happen if your photos migrated from photoshop.com to revel or you used elements 11 with revel and now use elements 12 with revel:

OK, no migration or files used with 11. It's also not consistent. Started with empty catalogue after managing to delete every image file on my hard drive!! So added two folders and did the solution mentioned above. Today I followed the instructions in the link. I imported a folder. I then created a local album and placed those images in that folder. I did not copy on import. No duplicates so far. Moved local album to Revel library, and immediately I get new files with the word "copy" amended to each file. I did the same task with another folder and this one did not create copies. The one difference I see is the first folder contains NEF files, the other doesn't. However it's not just the NEF file that get duplicated.

Hi,

Can you please check Edit> Preferences > Adobe Revel and see if "Automatic upload to Revel" has been turned on for some library in this account?
If not, then the duplicate should not get created.
If yes, a duplicate will get created if say your automatic upload was marked for Revel Library "A" and you manually drag drop the imported media to Revel Library "B".
It would be great if you could turn on details using View > Details in Elements Organizer and send us a screenshot of the Organizer window and Edit > Preferences>Adobe Revel window here.

Thanks
