PSE18 Trial version compatability with Windows 10

Running the PSE18 Trial version I am experiencing a problem similar to PSE9 Organizer in that the program becomes unresponsive at start - up. I noticed that the Setup Properties for this latest version can only select Windows 8 in the Compatability window. Everything I've read up to now seem to suggest some compatability issue between Windows 10 and PSE 18 0r even PSE9

Gerit,

PSE 18 Organizer can initially be slow to start. It builds a new Face Recognition database. This can consume resources for several hours. You should see the status in the lower left corner of the window.

IF you are using a catalog created in a previous version of PSE, you should convert that catalog before using it. PSEdoes not allow conversions of the Current Catalog. So you need to select a catalog other than the one to be converted. I find it easiest to create a New Catalog but not importing anything into it. Then convert the catalog you want to use. If you don't see that catalog in the list of catalogs when you select Manage Catalogs, then use "Custom Catalog"and navigate to the catalog to be converted.

Right now following several downloads of my original PSE9 from the Photoshop site, I get the same result - Organizer won't load. I have changed the installation compatibility from Win 7 to 8 with no improvement - Win 10 is not a compatible option for Install options yet.
