Premiere Elements: Why is version 9 slow on my system?

Adobe premiere elements 9, title problem with blue notes. Does not allow you to scroll with out major glitchesm, up was down and down was up. When moving photos while in the sceneline does not allow to drag and drop without moving mouse back and forth over and over. While in 7 it worked fine.

I thought it was only me.
I get to around 96-98% complete on creating a DVD and it blue screens.

Windows 7 64bit
i7-2600K
8gigs o' RAM
570 GTX
3TB Hard drive space.
I just don't see any problems here.

Any solution to this?

Yes and it is laggy.

A blue screen means that you have a problem with your hardware or a low level driver. That isn't caused by the application (Elements).

Adobe Premiere Elements 9 is so laggy. Even on a 3Ghz Quad Core, 2x nVIDIA 260gtx's, and high speed ram. I have no idea how people on slow computers deal with it. Could you make the software more lightweight?

Yes please. Same with Elements Organizer. Working with RAW files is slow too, and my host isn't that slow. Competing products open the same files in a second. Organizer, 10 seconds. PSE 9 has all the features I want, but organizer just isn't usable. shame.

What troubleshooting have you done to determine why your system is running PSE slowly (because other users aren't seeing it run that slow)?

How much RAM do you have installed?
Do you have third party plugins installed that might slow it down?
Video drivers that need to be updated?
A remote printer (drivers sometimes take a while to communicate with remote printers)?
Third party software that might interfere with other applications (anti-virus, firewall, etc.)?

HP intel dual core q8200 2.33ghz, 8 gig ram, 64 bit op system. Have uninstalled all the extra BS. Printer not installed (cause i just bought an IMac) Nvidia geforce 9200 GT.

I used sys edit so that all the extras do not load, still have the problem. Scrolling titles jump all around and does not let you scroll down..

For 150.00 bundle. i should have waited until i got my mac.

PS i have PSE installed on my MAC though have not done much video editing.

I have the same exact issues with Premiere Elements 10. Ridiculous. I have W7 64 Bit, i5 processor, 4 GB of RAM and have not had issues with any other program (including other video programs). I wrote to customer support and they wrote me with several solutions, none of which worked. I am hoping for either a real solution or a refund. I am afraid this is a recurring issue with all versions of this program and many, many bugs have not been worked out.

If anyone has any luck, post them please.

Unfortunate.

I am now a mac and though I have only made a few projects it seems on a mac it does run better. I have not crashed yet.
