Panorma in Photoshops Elements 9 not working

I am trying to do a Panorama in Photoshop Elements 9. I am using Windows 8 and have tried to use it direct in Photoshop or Edit from Lightroom and everything I do it just says Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 has stopped working etc.... I have searched the net for troubleshooting and tried suggestions but nothing is working, Help!
