How can we Turn off Elements 13 Crop Suggestions?

How can I turn off Elements 13 Crop Suggestions? They're very annoying popping up when you want to make your own crop.

Hi Terence,

You can turn off Crop Pre- Selection from Prefreneces

In Windows : Edit > General > Uncheck the box Enable Crop Pre - Selection
In Mac : CMD + K > General > Uncheck the box Enable Crop Pre - Selection

Restart the PSE 13 and check.

Thanks,
Sandeep

Hi Sandeep

Many thanks - that got rid of the annoying suggestions (I'm sure some people find them useful). However, its seems the Rule of Thirds Grid Overlay is the default. Even if I select 'None', next time I start Elements, it has reverted to Rule of Thirds. Is there a way to make it remember the choice?

Thanks
Terry

Thanks for the tip Sandeep. I agree with Terry about the default to ROT. Would be much nicer for it to be a setting we can control. Thanks, John

The inability to turn off the ROT grid permanently is the reason I'm still using my old PSE 9. It's just SO annoying to have to turn it off every time I open PSE 13.

Totally agree with the frustrating inability to permanently turn off the Elements 13 Crop Suggestions. I crop most of my photos and even after that the program still has the audacity to suggest crops! Programmers, show some respect for your users who, from the look of it, know how to crop photos better than you!

Crop suggestions is absolutely horrible and the fact that it is so difficult it disable is even worse! It is making everything I do take longer. Why would we ever need it??? Feeling frustrated!!

How do I get it to stop jumping from No Restriction to Photo Ratio?? That happens whenever I open a new photo and I loose my custom settings.
