Elements: My paint bucket will not fill a picture properly

I added a jpeg of a school logo to my file. The logo has a slightly different color from my actual background, even though I have the exact RGB numbers for the school colors. When I choose the right color to refill those parts of the logo, it doesnt change it. It'll start changing some other parts of the logo, but it leaves a giant rectangular shape around the logo because its just a slightly different and wrong color. I don't know how to fix this issue, the PB works fine on other things, and the settings are 100% opacity and I played with the tolerance a bunch. Any ideas?

Hi Jaxon,

Could you post a screenshot of what you're seeing, to make sure that we can properly visualize the problem?

That said, you can always make a selection and then recolor that area of an image.  Do you have Continguous checked?  Also, you might have the correct RGB values, but that doesn't mean a picture captures those exact color values -- lighting plays a huge factor, actually.

Hope that helps,
