Elements: Are there any free extensions that I could add?
Installing extra extensions;
- Are there any free extensions that I could add to Photoshop Elements 2018? I'm new to the latest version & it was many years ago since I use Photoshop.. Also, is there a way to create one from scratch?

I think Photoshop has all the extensions you'll want for images. My own website has almost every extension known for any image, still or video, since I deal with nothing but that and you can see them here http://pixsavers.com/photoformats.html. Maybe there a few you didn't know about. I'm not sure if we can build our own.

You can go to Window > Find Extensions on the Exchange to find a number of free and for pay (usually nominal amounts) extensions. They do all kinds of things. Making your own is another matter. If you have programming skills, you can find developers who do just that to hang out with. Google is your friend.
If you're really thinking of making your own filters, the Filter Forge already mentioned is geared towards that goal. It isn't free, but it is designed to let you create your own filters, as well as access a number that the community have already made. https://www.filterforge.com/
