Elements: After updating to 13.1 it's only possible to scroll in one direction when you have a single image visible in Organizer

Installed latest update. Pictures will not scroll down on wheel of mouse when only one picture is in view. When 2 or more pictures in view can scroll up and down with wheel on mouse.

I've worked in & continue to work in the software industry & I am amazed at how this company treats issues & its customers. You would think Adobe would at least make some sort of comment that this was being worked other than the one by Jeffery Tranberry stating that he would ask the team to look at the issue.

Mr. Tranberry,
-Did the team tell you anything when you asked them to look into the issue?
-Could you please follow-up with the team & let us know if its being looked at or not?
-If it is being worked, how soon can we expect the fix?
-If its not being worked, what is Adobe going to do to compensate its customers who use / want / need this feature?

Dear Andaleeb:

Thank you for correcting a major software glitch in PSE 13. To continue working in PSE 13, I had de-installed PSE 13.1 and reinstalled PSE 13.0 using the original CDs. This solved the scrolling problem but every time I booted the software, I was asked to upgrade to 13.1.

Now that I have updated to 13.1.1, I am still being asked and one click in the wrong place will land me back in 13.1. Is there a way to get rid of the little blue bell on the top right of the screen and the constant push to update to the buggy 13.1?

Any help with this from you or anyone else will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Naseem,

Since the 13.1.1 update is installed manually, the updater continues to show blue bell icon in some cases. Please go ahead with clicking the Updater bell icon. It won't update anything now since you have already updated to 13.1.1 which contains the changes of 13.1 update.

Regards
Andaleeb

This did not work for me. I get an error saying the update is not applicable to me. I spent an hour and a half chatting with support only to have him tell me that they are working on a fix to the original issue (the scroll wheel not scrolling down through the pictures).

Hi Amanda,

Can you please check Help > System Info in Elements Organizer and let me know the version number you see there? Also, are you seeing any error? If yes, please share a screenshot of the message that you see while trying to apply the update.

Thanks
Andaleeb

Thank you Adobe, a much needed fix! The download is nearly 500MB.
I note that the version information in the Organiser>Properties remains at 13.0.0.0 (though the correct information is displayed in Help>About).

I just upgraded today for 7D Mark II support. After getting the update that provided 7D II support, I too have the scroll issue. I tried to apply the patch and got this

Hi Dwayne,

Please see page (https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/photoshop-elements-13-1-hotfix.html) and download the hotfix file appropriate to your system configuration.

If on Windows, please check Control Panel > System Properties to know whether it is 32-bit or 64-bit OS.

Thanks

We're also seeing that with the 13.1 upgrade the "Speed" pull-down menu when building a slideshow has disappeared! Would like to have that back!

Hi Beverly,

Can you please confirm if this is about Premiere Elements Editor or Elements Organizer?

Thanks

My issue was referring to Photoshop Elements Organizer (not Premiere).

Thank you.

Hi Beverly,

I'm unable to see Speed pull down menu in Organizer slideshow. Can you please share a screenshot?

Yes, that's the problem - it isn't there :) Here's a screenshot of what used to be there right before the 13.1 update, and then was gone right after.

(I can't get the screenshot to load, but here's the image at the link above. The Speed button is the bottom bar to the right of Preview)

Is there any confirmation of this or a workaround to get this feature back? Could you please update on whether this is a permanent intentional change or something that will be fixed?
