Elements: After updating to 13.1 it's only possible to scroll in one direction when you have a single image visible in Organizer

Installed latest update. Pictures will not scroll down on wheel of mouse when only one picture is in view. When 2 or more pictures in view can scroll up and down with wheel on mouse.

Is there is bug report page for PSE 13? Not having the scroll wheel in the file open window on import (Windows version) is deeply annoying too, as is the lack of task bar popping (ie auto-hide is not supported by PSE Organiser), the failure of full screen view to zoom centred on the cursor and that black floating control thing in full screen view is always coming up in different places. It would be nice for 'People' to behave in the same way as other tags, and the import of events from 11 to 13 missed all the dates, even though PSE 'knows' the dates (right click event>edit>ok fixes it, no need to enter a date, it is already there). Just a few to get started with.

I am sure you already noticed that you are already in the feedback forum; you got feedback fom Adobe in return from user feedbacks by stating this report as 'acknowledged'.
The way this feedback forum works is that each request must be in its own discussion to be easily found by both other users and Adobe team; it's especially useful so that users can add their vote to topics and help in prioritizing those requests.
For your 4 other (valid) requests, you should really:
- search if they have already requested, add your vote if found
- or start a new topic for each one with a meaningful title starting with 'Elements 13:'

Adobe Please give us a fix for this problem without causing some other problem in return

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Scrolling error.

Elements version 13.1. When a single file is showing in organizer, my mouse will only scroll up not down. Not true in any other frame of elements or program.

I hope that Jeffrey Tranberry is not getting paid for telling me that he merged my complaint and that I would find information here. I do not see an answer. Just lots of similar complaints. Thanks Adobe.

Is there any means to get back to 13.0? This link stops at 10.
http://www.adobe.com/support/download...
and the Elements link on Adobe downloads is currently broken (it gives a 413 error).

You have to uninstall ps13.1 and reinstall 13.0 which I did using my original disks.
I had asked the same question and got the answer below:

Jeffrey Tranberry (Chief Customer Advocate) 19 days ago
Yes. You need to uninstall, and reinstall to get back to a base state.

Mr. Tranberry, why is Adobe still pushing the 13.1 update every time I open my 13.0 program that does not have the scrolling problem? Have you taken any action other than to ask the PS Elements team to look into this serious problem?

I cannot believe that Adobe is so callous. This is customer service?

It turns out that both Organizer v13.0 and v13.1 have the same version in the properties window (Windows version), and are both set at 13.0.0.0. Confused? There are different dates though, 13.0 is August 2014 while 13.1 is Jan 2015. That makes working round this defect an obvious fix (not).
Is there any point in raising other bug reports with Adobe if there is zero chance of them being fixed?

In my 13.1 version of the Organizer, the "Help/About Elements Organizer" states version 13.1 (20150130.m.66724) as expected.
(Windows 7).
I can't speak for Adobe, but as another Elements user, I'd like you to raise other bug reports if they have not yet been submitted. For already submitted ones, simply add your votes.
The present 13.1 update did solve a few major flaws for some user categories (font size for hdpi displays, lack of sound for video... and a few minor ones).
The problem to hurry too much when issueing updates is the risk of adding new bugs. You consider the present bug as a major one. I find it negligible. That's where the number of votes has its importance.
The present (stupid) bug is probably very easy to solve without risking other bugs. To solve that means issueing a new update... or waiting for the new version at the end of the year. Even if the update involves no other bug, you should take into account that simply upgrading necessarily involves a number of failed installations.
On the other hand, it may be worth to wait a little to solve other problems or add new features at the same time.

I do not consider this bug to be minor. It is really time consuming when one is trying to work through a large number of photographs in individual folders. Maybe you have a long life ahead of you.

I can understand this bug is playing on your nerves. No, you could not be quicker than me... because, being old, I don't have a long life ahead of me but I have acquired the flexibility and wisdom to adapt my workflow. Relax!

We could get into a contest on who has been collecting Social Security longer but I resent being lectured to.

If Adobe would just have one giant update which included the basic program plus the updates this could go away. Instead of having their customers jump through all kinds of hoops, just put it in one fell swoop and be done. A lot of satisfied and return customers would be the benefit. We are picture takers not computer experts

Still no help from Adobe. Don't expect me to buy the next edition if you can't make the old one work. I advise you to delay PSE 14 until you are able to make a working 13

It's apparent that Adobe doesn't consider this issue as important as many of the users encountering it do. I say this based off the number of responses from Adobe on this topic. Although this issue doesn't break the functionality of the product it does impact ease of use, user satisfaction, etc.

This is a straightforward in your face issue that any software tester should have caught within the 1st day, 1st hour of testing. Since it was not caught by their testing team it begs to question, what else is broke? Do they have a test team? It seems to me the end users are the testers.

If Adobe cannot address & fix a basic functionality like the use of the mouse wheel, then it is time to consider other options, other software. Thanks for nothing Adobe.

It began immediately after doing the last update from Adobe!
This problem makes looking for the best of a series to determine which photo to work on impossible. Very frustrating when I have a job with 1600 photos to complete.

Exactly Gary...I always take multiple photos, then cull the "not so good ones". I use the scroll wheel to quickly flip back and forth between photos to determine the keepers, then delete the less than perfect ones. I've done this with over 100 thousand photos, I currently have over 60 thousand in my catalog. I bought every new version of Elements since PSE7. Every photo I've ever taken I've used this approach. Not every photo gets cropped, or tagged, or rotated, or captioned, but every photo I've used the scroll wheel on the move between photos in the "sets" and cull the ones I don't want. So yea, for me, this IS a big deal, and definitely affects my work flow.

Did you consider getting back to version 13.0 ?
If you have no other major interest for the updates in 13.1, like hdpi display choice or lack of sound in videos, that may be worth the trouble?

Yes, I've been considering that. I was holding off deleting 13.1 and reinstalling 13.0 in hopes that Adobe might release an update or fix in the near future.

And Adobe remains silent on this bug. Soon they will want us to give them more cash for version 14 when they can not make 13 work. Very frustrating. Wish I did not have so much time invested in learning PSE as there must be a better alternative with some customer support included
