Elements 7 Editor has stopped working
Every time I try to open Adobe Photoshop Elements 7, specifically the editor portion, I get an error that reads: “Adobe Photoshop Elements (Editor) has stopped working, checking for solution”, then it says: “A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available”. It has been like this for a few months. The Create portion will open but not all features will work. I uninstalled and reinstalled and still have the same issue. When I go to the help menu and try to update I get a message that reads: “The update server is not responding, which means that it might be offline at the moment, or the internet or firewall settings may be incorrect, please try again later.” Please help.

Try resetting Editor preferences.
Launch Editor keeping Ctrl + Alt + Shift pressed. It will ask you to delete Settings file. Click Yes to it.
See if doing so launches the Editor next time.
Thanks
