elements 2021 organizer "date taken" for imported raw files is incorrect

When importing the cr3 raw files created by my Canon G5X Mark II camera into the Photoshop Elements 2021 Organizer, the "date taken" is one hour later than the date the photo was actually taken and the date taken contained in the cr3 actual file. Similar problem if the cr3 file has been converted into a dng file with the Adobe conversion software.  Dates are correct for imported jpg files.

I should add I am running PE 2021 on an up to date Windows 10 computer.

Hi Greyhound,

Could you please check with the following steps:

1. Right click the image file.

2. Select 'Adjust Date & Time' from context menu.

3. Select the option 'Change to match file's date and time'.

4. Click OK.

Please let us know if this doesn't work out.

Thanks,

Yachika

I know I can do that, but I shouldn’t have to do it in the first place. This necessitates segregating the raw and jpg files (I import both) prior to import, comparing dates and times to be sure the difference is the same, and then making the corrections.

Although manually correctable, it is still a bug which I haven’t encountered on earlier versions.
