Cant get elements to work on windows 10. Seems to be the same problem as everyone else is having. I cant seem to figure it out. Is there a patch or something I can use?

Can you say what the problem is? 'same problem as everyone else' doesn't help since I'm not reading every post.

Same issue. All of sudden I started getting "editor stopped working message" whenever trying to open jpg photo file attached to emails. Use PS Elements 12 and Windows 10. Any suggested fixes?

Please try out the steps mentioned in the article:

Let us know if the issue still persists.

Thanks,

I will try first suggestion. If it does not work, will try second.  Thanks

First suggestion did not work.  Same "editor stopped working message" appeared.  If I go to second suggestion and delete and reinstall Elements 12, will I lose all the folders and sorting photos by travel locations that I now have?

It should just remove the reinstall the programs - not your data. When you uninstall, be sure to not choose the option to delete your prefs

Okay, but your response references Elements 13.  According to Systems Info tab I have Elements Organizer 12.0.0.0. It also states operating system as Windows 8, yet am using Windows 10 as my OS.  Does this make a difference?

The programmers for Elements 12 could not write the correct version name for a software which did not exist at that time. Windows 8 was the last known Windows version at that time.

What is the Elementts version that is compatible with Windows 10? If I upgrade to it would I keep all folders and sorting of pictures that I established on E 12 or would I have to reformat?

I have (or I recently still had) versions 15,14,13,12,10 and 6 installed on Windows 10. I think you would have no big problems from Elements 11 on... and there may be some problems with older versions.
If you upgrade on the same computer, after the installation you are prompted to 'convert' your last current catalog of the old versions. There is no change in your picture files folders, your old catalog is still available to the old version (renamed with a -1 suffix) and a new catalog with the same name is created for the new version. You can manually convert any other old catalogs from the catalog manager.
If you install your new version on a new computer, you'll have to recover both your picture files folders and your catalogs. Use the backup/restore process described here:

Thanks for the information. Before upgrading, I will try second of your two suggestions. If I "uninstall all Adobe products" as indicated. How do I reinstall? Where do I find Elements 12 to reinstall without repurchasing?

Although I know how to uninstall a program, I do not know how to reinstall a paid program like Elements 12 without repurchasing. Could someone please provide instructions? Thanks

THIRD REQUEST: Could someone please tell me how to reinstall Elements 12 once I uninstall it as suggested?  I don't want to proceed until I know how to do this. Thanks

FOURTH REQUEST!!! Could someone please tell me how to reinstall Elements 12 (for free since I already purchased it) after I uninstall it? How do I move existing folders and locations over to new version? Thanks

See:
https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/photoshop-elements-downloads.html
You download the program, install it and input your serial number for version 12.
If you need, you can find your product key in your Adobe Account.
