Elements 12: Help with Offline Activation
I recently upgraded to Photoshop Elements 12. I got it home & learned I must have an Internet connection to get a serial#.--I do not have Internet @ home. I went to my public library and got the serial#,. which I then went home & installed. Then I was told the software would stop working in 7 days unless I connected to the Internet to register--I DO NOT HAVE INTERNET @ HOME!
I was forced to return Elements 12 to Best Buy, which is unfortunate since I waited a long time to upgarde and was excited about doing so. I'll go back to my old copy of Elements for now, and look to grab version 10 or 11 in the meantime. Otherwise I use a new product.
It is an invalid assumption on the part of Adobe to believe EVERYONE HAS INTERNET @ HOME! Making Internet @ home a prerequisite for using Adobe is a big mistake which will come back to bite Adobe. I will not use a software which forces me to purcahse a service I do not want---& I'll be sure to let others know about my experience with the Adobe product.
What is worse, is there is no way to get a human being from Adobe to help me. This is silly, & evidence of still more myopia from Adobe which is going to prove bad business.

Sorry for the trouble with not having an internet connection. There are ways to get Elements activated offline using some of the silent/enterprise installation methods.
For others visiting this post, the system requirements for Photoshop Elements can be found here: http://www.adobe.com/products/photosh...
One of them mentions that an internet connection is required for activation.
I'll help you get it setup on your machine over email since we'll be dealing with your serial number.
Expect an email from me soon.
Regards
Pete

I bought Photoshop Elements 12 with the assumption that I could use it offline. I've noted your comment about activation but had assumed it only meant initial activation the first time I used it. I have a very limited data allowance and wish to work offline. Is that possible? I had a trial for Elements 11 and then seemed forced to buy Elements 12 at the end of the trial which I wasn't happy about. Please help. Regards,
Carol

I would need your assistance on a similar issue for my PSE 12 first time activation that doesn't get through.
The product is registered at the Adobe website but when I try and use the product on my PC the activation process gets stuck and I cannot use the soft.
Many thanks
