If you registered the software with Adobe, then your serial number information will be available on adobe.com with your Adobe ID account.

I see an Elements 8 serial # registered under the email address you've used to log in. Once logged in, go here: https://accounts.adobe.com/products to see your serial #s.

I looked up your account using the email address you've used to log in here. I don't see any registered products.

Is it possible you have a different Adobe ID with and different email address?

If you still have a copy installed and activated, you may be able to register the serial # by selecting Help>Register...

I found your registered product. It's under the email address with just your last name as the prefix for your email address. Let me know if you can access it, or if you want me to move it under the account/email address you've used here.

Hi Jeffrey, I think my girlfriend and I are in the same boat as the original poster here. I got her a copy of Photoshop Elements 11 last year, i think, and now we want to put it on a new computer.

we have the box and the dvd, but the original plastic case for the dvd seems to have gone missing. I can't seem to find the cd-key listed anywhere and we had not registered the software with adobe. How can i extract the cd-key from the existing installation?

[edit]

Someone on another post recommended use of a program called license crawler to pull the cdkey from registry data. seems like it worked! the installer accepted the key I found and now its running the installation. fingers crossed!

That's good to hear. Using Help>Register would extract the serial # from the product and register it to your Adobe account. Be sure you register your serial # so it won't get lost again: http://blogs.adobe.com/photoshopdotco...

Jeffrey, Here is my dilemma - I purchased PSE 11 and in my error registered it as PSE12! I also just purchased a laptop and wanted to install on the laptop versus desktop - I put in serial number and it says invalid. So I have two problems - Need to change the Adobe registration to PSE 11 NOT 12 and need to know how I can install on my laptop. I thought you could install on two devices so I have waited patiently until I couldn't my laptop and now I cannot install;ll

I really need help - I just noticed I have PSE12 but it came in PSE11 box - Oh Lord, what have I done? Can someone please help me. I bought off Amazon and I have receipt.

I've got a problem of the same kind. My wife has a preinstalled photoshop elements 8 and premiere elements on her Sony Vaio VPCEA3L1E. I changed her hard disk to SSD. After restoring the system the PS asks for registration code. Am I to buy and register a new licence, or is there any other possibility?
Regards

Just reinstall, and re-enter your serial number.

After my daughter was playing around with the key pad, somehow I hit the 'refresh' prompt for my computer, without fully reading that it would totally refresh my computer to almost it's original version. During the process, my computer removed the adobe photoshop elements 11 version. I don't have the product key anymore, and went on the adobe site to retrieve it, but seems that I never registered the product. How can I retrieve the product key without having to repurchase or install some 3rd party program to retrieve the key? Please help!

This is exactly the problem I am facing right now! I reset my computer and was under the impression that I had backed my programs up, but sadly I apparently did not. Is there any way I can get CS5 back without having to go through all the subscription stuff? I hope someone is still looking at this forum!

Hi.  My daughter had a preloaded photoshop for years and her hard drive froze so we had to install another hard drive.  She has no install media with serial numbers and no Adobe id so is there any way to find the photoshop serial number using the PC serial number or reinstall using the PC serial number?  Thanks.

Hi, could anyone please help me? I'm enterprise user but we've changed partner/seller. I can see the Creative Cloud licenser (both federated and machine licenses) but I can't see the old products. I currently need access to a software (Adobe Elements) that we purchased last year. I remember I was able to retrieve the SN in the dashboard but now it's gone. Is there a way to get it back?
