Hello dear family, Do u think or did u planned to make a full version photoshop for android? Because that would be great! Also as I know u published or gonna publish a full version ps for apple devices, right? :/
I noticed that the full Photoshop is coming to the iPad. It seems that many of the Android Devices are more capable or equal to the iPad. Is there a plan to bring full Photoshop to the android os?
why is there so big difference in the versions for android and Ipad??? Adobe launched about 1 year ago, a complete new version for ipad, why is a similar version not realesed for android yet???
My thought is that the cost that would have to be invested in doing a complete rewrite to accommodate Android users would be a non starter for the company. You don't simply paint the barn doors to be able to do such a massive effort! Cannot just port over to Android anymore than you could decide to start teaching US kids in public schools in Mandarin next semester. We are talking millions of bucks required for a minimal incremental return!
Just bought a brand new Samsung tab, (the most recently released one to be exact) and the Photoshop version for Android is not at all what was expected. Nor is lightroom. I'm very disappointed because I am not an Apple user I am not able to edit photos the way I want to on an Android device. I use overlays quite a bit and I'm unable to on any of these apps! Please make them compatible with Android with all the features the iPad has.
If image editing with Photoshop on your mobile device is important, you'll have to switch to iPad for the time being. From the brief conversations that I've had with the Adobe teams, there are way too many variations in Android devices and the Android OS.

Yes, maybe apple products are potentially better to do photo retouching for example with photoshop and pencil. But why block, censor and do nothing more... You have to create a version of photoshop on android, lightroom exists on android, rush also so why not photoshop, there really needs explanations !

Adobe Rush was code written for iPad, macOS, Windows and AndroidOS (not necessarily in that order). It's not a port of Premeiere Pro. Photoshop for iPad is a port of the Photoshop code base. For that reason alone, we may never see an Android version.
@ Kieran Andrews: Not going to happen because there are so many versions of Android on market and it would require a different version of Photoshop for each version.
It is already available on the play store, and the a71 is running the same version as Android as the latest S line, so doesn't make much sense as to why it isn't available
Do you mean Photoshop Mix? That's a photo editing app that's in the family of mobile apps that share the Photoshop name, but it's not Photoshop for iPad which is... more or less... a start of the desktop version of Photoshop re-imagined for touch devices.

@Dave I understand this, and the reason I came to this forum, as instructed to by the Adobe agent, was to try and find out the reasoning why it isn't compatible

@Dave: I'm not sure if you are aware, however people are allowed to own both Samsung phones and iPad devices. I therefore have downloaded Photoshop on my Apple iPad device.
There are so many variations now (Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Photoshop Camera, Photoshop Fix, Photoshop Mix, Photoshop Express -- did I even get them all?) and so many devices that I kind of miss the days of Photoshop 2.5 where all you needed to worry about is if your Mac had enough scratch disk space.
Please could you let me know when I stated that I would use Photoshop for iPad on my Samsung device? I didn't. Here's a picture of my iPad displaying Photoshop for iPad, taken on my Samsung device. I even turned the camera's watermark on, just for you
I totally support this idea. With Samsung dominating the Android tablet market, it makes it a sensible choice for the Photoshop app to be perfectly custom built for the Samsung tablet family. Also, would much appreciate the full support of the S-pen as I think it would be an amazing combo. Just wondering if this is the forum post which best represents the integration idea?
@warren_heaton Hi Warren, Thanks for your reply. Interesting figures. It makes sense for Adobe to be focussed solely on the Apple side of things judging by the market share they have. Although I have used both latest versions of the iPad pro and the Samsung Tab, the android offering looks competitive enough to win the benefit of the doubt. I guess Samsung needs to work hand in hand with Adobe on the development side of things rather than just offer complimentary prices on Adobe products.
Currently on android there is a few different apps but non of them compare to the photoshop avalible on the ios devices. The iPad has a somewhat full version of Photoshop and this would be great for andoirds as well. Especially for the tablets and editing on the go. Is there any plans to bring this out. Thank you.
No, your Galaxy cannot run Photoshop, only Photoshop Express which is NOT full feature Photohop.

Hi there,
i am using products from Adobe on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+.
This tablet and nearly all Android tablets in the last 5 Years, have enough power to perform a Photoshop App on it.
Unfortunately there is only Photoshop Express for Android aviable
This version is not good enough for high end photography.
Is there a plan to development of Photoshop mobile for Android tablets?

My Galaxy tab 7+ is more than capable of running photoshop. So there shouldn't be an issue making an app for Android.
