Lightroom mobile/Express: Exported files are renamed, instead of using original file name
I am using LR CC (v3.4) and PS Express (4.0.456) on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, running Android 7.Is it normal for these two apps to not keep the original filename upon export? I am editing jpg files from my camera (or other) and RAW CR2 files I've downloaded from my personal NES.When using Lightroom CC mobile all exported files are renamed to LRM_Export_YearMonthDay_HourMinuteSecond.jpg, with the dates and times being the time saved, not photo taken.Photoshop Express does similar with the format PSX_YearMonthDay_HourMinuteSecond.jpgIs there a setting I am not seeing? Or is this just an annoyance I will have to figure out how to manage?

I also forgot to mention that I thought it odd that if you open a file in PS mobile and then add it to LR mobile, this gives you two copies of the same file with two different files names. Same goes if you open in LR and then move to PS for other edits.
I've used the desktop versions of both LR and PS since 2007 for everything from large events (like weddings) to creating single multilayered digital art pieces. So I guess I am just a little confused on how these mobile apps act so different.

Here's my workflow in case it gives you any ideas. I'm in the process of going through rediscovering photos on old harddisks at the moment too.
For files that originate on disk:
- Import into Lr Classic, renaming on the way in if I want to.
- Add to at least one (non-smart) collection, for syncing purposes.
- I have most of my standard collections synced with the cloud. For files ingested from Classic it only syncs smart previews which don't count towards your quota. Being able to pull up any photo I've ever shot from my phone (from anywhere) is awesome.
- If I edit on mobile, I'll only export on mobile for social media. In this case the filenames aren't important. I don't save exports to my phone itself. I have no need to, because I can always view the raw on my phone, with up to date edits.
- If I want a set of JPEGs for something, I'll do it on desktop. As long as I let Classic finish syncing, I know it has an up to date copy of anything I've edited on mobile.
For files that originate on my phone:
- I shoot raw on my phone. Lr mobile is set to Auto Add DNGs but not JPEGs (otherwise I end up with all sorts of phone-image-junk in Classic, which is no fun to clear up!).
- Originals sync to the cloud, counting towards my quota.
- In Classic I have a smart collection to show photos shot on my phone. When I'm next in Classic after I've been shooting on my phone, I'll select all in that collection, hit my standard metadata preset to apply copyright (it fills in more fields than Lr mobile fills in), then I'll hit the button to rename everything with my standard filename pattern.
- I haven't been doing this long enough to fill my CC quota but when I get near, I'll make sure both mobile and Classic have fully synced, then delete the originals from the Lr CC end, which will leave them in Classic. I think Classic then _should_ sync smart previews instead. But I haven't tried this yet!
Of course, for all of that to run smoothly:
- I don't use PSX. To mix Lr mobile and PSX on mobile together on the same files is going to give the problems you're running into. I haven't tried PSX on Android. What do you need it for that Lr on Android doesn't do?
- Everything has to be in one catalog.
- I don't ever keep exported files on either mobile or desktop. I export for a purpose, send them on their way to wherever they're going, then delete them. I have no need for them because if I'm browsing edited photos on desktop I'm in Classic. And if I want to view them on mobile, I can do so in Lr mobile. I keep recent collections Stored Locally on my SD card, so I can even show them to people when I don't have internet coverage.
I hope there might be something in there that gives you ideas for a mobile-desktop workflow that works for you!

Renaming doesn't help unless the output directory is the same as the input one (in which case you might have bigger problems anyway...). And even then, adding a "-1" suffix would be sufficient to prevent overwriting original files.

What really annoyes me about these automatic naming is, that Lightroom mobile export them in a very strange order so that you have no possibility to sort the files in the original order (and without the possibility to select a folder)
I hope Adobe changes this very very very soon.
