Lightroom Mobile: Export without syncing

I want to be able to export my edited images without having to sync them. This used to be my workflow until the latest lightroom mobile update. Now I have to sync to export my edited images. Sometimes when I’m in the field that’s not easily doable. I was in the woods in Kentucky last week being paid a lot of money to photograph an archery tournament and it took an entire hour to sync 12 images to the cloud so that I could export them to my phone to deliver them to my client that was asking me every 5 minutes if they were ready yet. Why do I need to sync to have to export onto my phone? That should not be a necessity.

Are you on the latest version. I had this problem, but it was fixed in 5.3.1.

Yes. 5.3.1 53B120. I’ll try uninstalling the app and reinstalling and see if that fixes it. I spent about 20 mins on a chat this morning with adobe and they basically told me to write a post on here. I’ll follow up with whether or not it works.

Thanks!

So I deleted the app. Shut down the phone. Turned on the phone. Reinstalled the app. Still happening. Can’t export until syncing is done. Paused syncing and got an error saying “unable to share without sync.” This is very frustrating.

Make sure that on your export settings you have Dimension set to ‘Largest Available Dimension’. This fixed it for me and I think it’s a known fault.

I’ll give it a try, but I need to get out web sized images on occasion. I do 1300 pixels on the long edge, so I need that to be an option. But if that’s the only way for now so be it. Thanks!

Just got an answer from adobe. Apparently this is a known issue and will be fixed in the next release whenever that is. So I guess until then you just have to keep syncing. Hopefully the next release isn’t too far away.
