Lightroom Mobile (Android): Using Flash with raw capture crashes my Galaxy S7Edge

When I use the LR camera on a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge latest android and I use flash in daylight taking in RAW (is RAW the problem?), it flashes but crashes the phone which will only restart if I plug the charging cable in. I can then reboot.

Hello Lenny, Can you please let me know that has the issue started occurring after you upgraded your S7 Edge to the latest android version?

Sorry, not sure as I this happened once before about 3 weeks ago. Only the second time I have used fill in flash so not sure what version I was running at the time

Not a problem Lenny. So it appears like this issue does not occur for all the images you capture (i.e. it's an intermittent issue)?

Most of my photos are taken without flash so apart from these 2 occasions, never happened before. I'm changing phone today so let's see if it does it on the Galaxy S9 plus.

If you are able to reproduce the issue consistently, I would recommend to send the diagnostic log to us. Below are the steps to generate the diagnostic log:
  • Enable the Diagnostic mode i.e. Go to Settings Panel and long press on top left “Lr” icon (this will enable “Send Feedback” button on Settings Panel).
  • Now reproduce the issue and soon as you encounter the issue, reopen settings panel and tap on “Send Feedback” button at the end.
  • Within few seconds the sharing sheet will open, send across the logs. As the logs will be sent in a separate thread, please provide a summary of the issue (it will help me in tracking).
You can try out this on any of your devices.
