Lightroom iPad app marking imported RAW files from SD card as ‘Edited’, although they aren’t

An old bug which was fixed some time ago has been reintroduced: when importing images from an SD card directly into the iPad/iPhone app, RAW files are all marked as ‘Edited’, despite no import presents being used.

I use this app on two different iPads every day. This bug was originally fixed last year, but has now been reintroduced in a recent update and hasn’t been resolved since. It makes sorting properly edited images for export extremely frustrating. Please fix it (again!)

A couple of quick questions.

Can you provide the installed Version Number for both iPads?

Do you have any raw defaults set on any of the ecosystem clients? (desktop, web, mobile)?

Hi Rikk, sorry for the delay.

It’s the latest version (6.3.0) but also was present in the prior version too. I don’t have any RAW defaults set anywhere. The issue only occurs when importing via the iOS and iPadOS LR app, and does not happen when importing on the desktop app.

This was a bug that happened a year or two ago for a while and was eventually fixed - but has now be reintroduced recently.

I've tested this and am not sure what you are saying is an Edit indicator?

Which device is showing as edited?

What is your indication?

What is the Lr Version number of that device?

Hi, it’s quite simple to replicate really: import an SD card containing RAW+JPG pairs directly to the iPad or iPhone LR app via an SD card reader.

Once the images are in Lightroom, use the filter/search function to show only edited images, and you’ll see that it’ll show the RAW files and not the JPGs. Obviously because the files have only just been imported, none of them should be displayed when searching for edited files.

The app is wrongly marking freshly imported RAW files as ‘edited’, even though they aren’t. Something is triggering this at import on the mobile app but not on the desktop app. It doesn’t affect any JPG files that are imported.
