Freedom of choice
I would appreciate if Adobe would allow me to select between either Creative Cloud or iCloud for the storage of my personal data. Having an app use iCloud storage is core functionality and a widely spread practice. Already paying for iCloud storage and happy with that, plenty of free space available too. Don’t see the point in decentralising my data and paying for a second cloud storage solution. Willing to pay for the app but would like the freedom of choice on where my data is being stored.

As for "Adobe's servers", watch your network traffic. You'll see connections to Amazon AWS. I'm guessing that Adobe went to Amazon for cloud infrastructure, rather than build their own data centers. (Not a criticism, AWS and Microsoft Azure are hugely popular. Just saying.)
