Unable to Update LR 6 Past ver 6.9

I have been unsuccessful in updating beyond LR 6.9 I have also been in the LWS to obtain my Serial Number and the site returns the message Adobe does not recognize you as a customer. I have been using Adobe PS since ver 7 and LR since ver 4. I am not sure of the problem since I have had a account for several years.

LR 6 is a stand alone version therefore not really sure if I should be able to down load the newest release.
