Lightroom: Turning off Sync in Lightroom Mobile so It stops filling cloud space?

Lightroom for mobile: I want to decide if and when I sync photos taken in the app. Please give me a switch to turn off sync. IDEA UPDATED 9 MONTHS AGO (EDITED). Has this even been looked into and will hitting the pause button stop this madness from mobile to Lightroom Classic CC??? it ate all my cloud up and I have no idea how to get rid of all these photos that I do not want on there!!! AND I was told to pull them off onto a hard drive, with Lightroom Downloader and...well... we tried that last night and that app did not work at all!!!! HELP!!!!

Lightroom Mobile is designed to store images safely in the cloud. If it did not do that, then people would complain that they lost all their images after doing something they should not have done, such as deleting the app from the phone.

You do not have to sync with Lightroom Classic, that 'madness' is entirely your own choice. You can use Lightroom Classic to keep the images on your local computer and delete them from the cloud. To do that, just remove them from the 'All Synced Photographs' collection in Lightroom Classic. This will also delete them from the phone, but they will not be deleted from Lightroom Classic, just 'unsynced'.
