Lightroom for web: Disable "add photo" on online galleries

Hi,
How to disable the "Add photos" button visible at the top of the gallery home page?
I did not find the option in the sharing configuration window.
Hope this is not a side effect of the "download image" option I chose.
Regards.

That's only available for email-invited guests that you've set to "can contribute" instead of "can view". You can change that on the sharing settings where it allows you to invite people by email.

If you're the owner of the share & logged in, you'll see this now too (but that won't be there for other people unless they have the "Can contribute" role). I'm guessing this is part of the confusion.
I'll bring this up with the team as well -- we can probably make this a little clearer.

I too think it is a bit confusing, if you are the owner.

Thank you for your reply.
Indeed, it is quite confusing and useless. No need to display this button when we are the owner of the gallery because the logical use case to add images in the gallery is to use LR.
