Lightroom: Face recognition ignores rotated images

When I shoot in portrait mode and have to rotate image in Lightroom afterwards, face recognition does not work at all and find zero faces.

I know Lightroom also ignores faces sideways, but it apparently ignores them after rotating to correct position.

Greetings dwbmb,

Is there a reason you don't set your camera to auto-rotate the images so you can avoid the need to manually rotate?

Yeah, like 35mm old films scanned.

It is set but it does not always work with camera moving a lot or when shooting from above. Some pictures comes out not auto rotated then. Also found this with old 35mm scanned films.

Still facing this. When shooting people from above, camera does not recognize rotation as it is facing directly the ground. Then, even after rotating, Lightroom does not recognize any face.
