Lightroom downloader renames HEIC files with extension ".false"

The Lightroom downloader application (https://lightroom.adobe.com/lightroom-downloader)
downloads photos taken with iPhone X in HEIC format but renames them with extension ".false"... ex: IMG_2329.false instead of IMG_2329.HEIC

This is a problem when trying to compare 2 folders and trying to determine if all files have been backed up properly as there isn't a 1 to 1 match in filenames...

Can you please advise on how to resolve this issue?
Thanks.
