Since last night I cannot access anything on lightroom CC desktop cloud it keeps saying Unable to connect to network. I have a Mac and have reinstalled the software, and definitely have internet connection.

Greetings Charlie,

Did your OS or your Firewall software update recently? Did you install Catalina recently? It sounds like you may have a security issue blocking access. Please review your security setting at the OS and Internet Access level.

How should be security settings at Mac OS Catalina and the internet access level?

Any chance the originals are stored on a NAS?

I am having the exact same problem, and recently installed Catalina. What sort of OS settings are there to adjust that might make a difference? Thanks for the help!

Scratch that. iPad has now been loading Photos since yesterday.
On my Mac Lightroom has been trying to do some Housekeeping but is stuck at 5% (also since yesterday).
The only place Lightroom now works is on my Samsung Galaxy phone.

I had the same problem, the following worked for me:

See "Syncing appears to be stuck." on https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-cc/kb/known-issues.html

I am facing exactly the same issue. Very often files sync are impacted by 'Unable to Connect to Network' message as shown in the screenshot attached. I am using Lightroom CC 3.2 in a mac Catalina 10.15.3. I am not using NAS but external HDs connected via USB.

Originally I have 720G to be transferred to Creative Cloud and since some days I could not cross the border of 305G meaning I still have 415G pending and I am afraid I will not be able to do it without your help pointing me to the correct direction for this issue to be solved.

If no other option, I will have to cancel my subscription as I will not able to properly work as I expected. This is really frustrating as this issue seems basic as it severely impacts the core feature of this product which is cloud-based :(

Please, your help bringing some light to this issue

Thank you!

As a troubleshooting step, try eliminating any switches and routers and plug directly into your modem.  Make sure all firewall software is temporarily disabled as well.

Any movement?

Thank you, Rikk.

You are the first Adobe rep to answer my questions. I really appreciated it.

The Firewall is deactivated.

Now I am purchasing an ethernet adapter for my MacBook (as I've realized I don't have it - it will be delivered today) so I will be able to bypass my Apple Wifi router and direct connect it via ethernet cable to my main internet provider router.

As soon as I do it, I let you know my results.

What intrigues me is that LR CC (sometimes) starts uploading a few files and then, suddenly, it just ceases doing that and displays unable to connect message.

Would you have any idea why such weird behavior?
Shouldn't it deny uploading any file since the very beginning?

Thank you
Frank

Hi @Rikk Flohr. Wifi disconnected. MacBook Pro Catalina directly connected via an ethernet cable plugged to the main internet provider router. All seemed to run fine then LR CC, again, show up the message "unable to connect to the server". The only thing I have done right before this error message show up was switching the view of my photos as detailed in the attached commented screenshot below. Since then I could not make LR CC resume the upload process anymore. PLEASE, your help as I don't know what else I can do and how to ask for further support from Adobe. Thank you

If required I can try to collect my logs and sent it to you/Adobe - just tell me how to do it

well, what seems to have worked is to delete (well I rename it first) "Lightroom Library.lrlibrary" on my Macbook drive and then restart Lightroom. All seems to then work well. But have had to do this a few times.

Thanks Frank.

Our engineer has reviewed the log file.

When you are in this state, In Activity Monitor do you see the Adobe Lightroom Helper app?

Hi Rikk. Not sure this is what you are asking me if I see (question mark?)

Suddenly, LR CC got again connected (as you can see below) from time to time - meaning the connection issue is intermittent.

No. I am actually looking for you to launch the Mac Activity Monitor and see if that file is active when you next  get the 'Unable to connect to network' message.

@Rikk Flohr, Lightroom appears to Mac Activity Monitor. One interesting thing that is happening since some weeks ago is that I notice that even show up this error message (Unable to Connect to Network) if I leave the mousse arrow in the top of the cloud icon, it says 'uploading' and indeed it is uploading, then sometimes the error unable to connect message disappears...really weird. I don't see the same error behavior as before since few weeks - now I got to sync almost all my files with exceptions of some which show up as invalid (not sure what is the criteria o LR to set a file as 'invalid'. Would you know it?). Thanks

Invalid can be due to corruption - that is the most likely culprit. Do you still have an original copy of his file you can replace the syncing version?
