Lightroom Desktop: Share Album with other cc users / collaborate

I work at Intuit and as a professional photographer, we use lightroom to catalogue all of our photos taken in events, demos, product testing etcc. But since i take and edit most of the photos I’m the only one able to add or edit photos in all of our albums. The only way we’re able to collaborate in an album is to go through dropbox and add all of the photos myself. Quite disruptive experience.

Since LR is now cloud based, it seems like a natural step while creating a a win-win opportunity to give us a google-doc-like feature to share an album with other’s LR CC accounts (not just their email as currently available) for “view only” or “Can Edit” mode. It will not only make LR viral with more paying users but also make it more collaborative.

thoughts?

It certainly looks like we're heading in that direction. The May update gained the ability for other people to contribute photos to other people's albums via the Web interface. Can Edit would be a really logical next step.

The ability to have multiple users to edit the shared albums in the desktop app (not web app only) would seem like the next big step.

I would like to be able to share an album with a team member, so that they can edit raw files and the edits are synced between us. This is exasperating that we can't do this! I can't believe it's not already a feature. I very much look forward to when it's possible. Thank you.

My marketing team needs a way to share and organize photos between us. Currently, we all have Dropbox folders with images and are all running our own Lightroom filing system with various versions of updated and tagged images floating throughout the team. We want our team members to be able to edit, rate, and meta-tag in the same Lightroom CC catalog.

Hi, nowdays more thing can be share thru internet, i think, adobe can add new feature to sharing album, so easy to owner share their album to editor to edit and owner can monitor their work at the same time. not like currently, have view and contribute, but nothing can do.

i think it cloud based, so should be no problem to share the album to other account
