Lightroom Desktop: Graphics processor has encountered an unrecoverable error macOS Big Sur
Hi,
I've noticed Lightroom was painfully slow lately on my MacBook Pro 15 inch 2017 (Touch Bar) so I checked the "Performance" tab, and it says "The graphics processor has encountered an unrecoverable error". This leads me to believe the GPU is not used at all.
It seems to be fine on Photoshop, and other GPU software. Could you get this sorted, please? I am running Lightroom 4.1 on Big Sur.
Many thanks.

I've just done some experimenting myself and fixed it!
Inside the directory at /Users/[ username ]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/GPU/Adobe Lightroom
In that directory, there was a file called TempDisableGPU2. I simply moved that file outside of the directory and now Lightroom is reporting "Your system automatically supports full acceleration" :)

Close Lightroom
Locate the Camera Raw GPU Config.txt file:
If present, rename it to GPU Config.old
Restart Lightroom.
Do you still have the issue?
