Why does this even need a vote. We NEED to be able to watermark our photos. Period.

Lots of things NEED to be done, and they can't all be done at once, so number of votes helps with prioritization.

I agree it's a high priority for me too.

Watermark please ... it was a regular use tool for me and almost everyone I work with. We use it for not only copyright but other data markup ... daily.
Enjoy Lightroom CC and its peppiness ... thank you!

Lo encuentro frustrante que no se puedan añadir marcas de agua en Lightroom CC y en Lightroom cc mobile si se puede

It is critical to have Watermarks, and it seems like an easy enough fix. Please help us, and anything else we can do to have it included please let us know!

Thanks

There isn't an "old version". LRCC is a brand new app which was released at the same time as Lightroom Classic (which IS the new version of the desktop-centric Lightroom 6/CC2015). So Classic is the latest iteration of the program that you were perhaps more familiar with, and has all the features that the "old version" has.

LRCC is a new cloud-centric app, probably more targeted initially at the non-professional mobile and hobby user who want all their images available wherever they may be, but do not need all the features that a power-user professional might need. Whether the app develops further to become more attractive to the professional, I guess we'll find out in due course. I know some pros are already using it, but that's probably in a hybrid Classic/LRCC workflow.

Jacqui,

We all believe this maybe the most important addition to this app.  Why Adobe isn't listening is beyond our imagination.  You would think they have professional consultants telling them this.  I'm looking at other options (software) that can do this better even.  More people need to post the need, I guess.
Thanks for your post.  Hopefully Adobe will wake up soon.  This can't be that hard to add.  They surely get enough money to pay someone to do it.

Who says Adobe isn't listening?

If memory serves Lightroom Classic didn't get watermarking until Version 3.0. Lightroom CC is only on 1.1.   There are many features planned but not everything can go into a 1.0 product - or it would never be released.

Did you ever consider the possibility that those 'professional consultants' are telling them that this feature can wait or even more ominous - isn't needed.

Everyone thinks their missing feature is the most important in the world. Everyone thinks that all engineers should just stop whatever they are doing and put it in...  The only problem is everyone has a different most important missing feature...

Software development has prioritization and teams have finite resources.

I agree and there will always be debate on whether watermarking is important.
This issue though is stopping some people from being able to use the product because for those who believe in watermarking it is a show stopper.

I purchased this program so that I could add a watermark only to discover that I can't add a watermark! Please add this feature! I am completely perplexed as to why this isn't already an option. As a beginner, how do I now add a watermark to my photos? Thanks!

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Lightroom CC: Watermark.

It's important to do this. I must decide if I put watermark o no, but it's necessary like in classic

I want to add watermarks in Lightroom CC with © copyright sign included.

Please, update the app!

Why is this even a debate? What good is a program without a watermark feature? I have just spent a significant amount of time working through thousands of images from a trip and now can't even watermark?  Do I have to now ditch this program and find something else? I won't be waiting long to make this call.

Watermarking is an essential feature of Lightroom, please make this available in CC version also.

Why would you make a new version of your software and take away features that are part of the classic version. wtf seriously use your brains....Add watermarks for the Apps and the Desktop like yesterday, I can't believe I'm paying for this...it's one of the most important features it should be step one. My thoughts of Adobe have just gone down a lot for something so stupid come on!!
