That feature's not in 1.0, but I'll convert this to a feature request.

I agree with the need for this functionality. I love Lightroom cc...and not sophisticated enough to use classic comfortably. But the inability to watermark is a real gap

Watermark is present in the iOS version but not in the windows version

After iOS has for some time now, we still need it on PC. This is where the bunch of work and the storage uploads happen.

I have Mac, it is definitely not here.  I can check iPad..not here either

Hi - I have just upgraded from Classic CC to Lightroom CC and watermark still not available (windows). This is a real gap - is there any update if / when this will be rolled out? Does anyone know?

I would also really want to see watermark support in the new Lightroom. I like the new design, but the lack of exporting with watermarks is the main reason I can't switch.

I did the same and was unhappy.  I don't like the layout or anything with he new lightroom cc.  I downloaded lightroom Classic CC For my mac book and all is good.  I only use cc to import already edited photos to link with portfolio and send image preview links

Just spent a whole hour editing in the new CC only to find out I have to use the older version to watermark. How did they miss the mark on that?

We can't work with the Lightroom CC without watermarks. We really need this! Please Adobe consider this a very important feature.

Agreed. Now I need to use other software just to add the watermark.

Oh, how I pray they are listening!  I jumped head first into Adobe cloud.. and now use other software to make things work so I can be productive.. MY BAD!

I downloaded and edited not realising there was no watermark option. This needs to be fixed ASAP.

I would not have purchased Lightroom CC if I knew that I couldn't add watermarks, like any other modern photo editor.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled watermarking for shared album.

We will definitely need a watermarking tool for all photo before sharing our photo online for our client, like for selection.

Tell me if I am right, there is no way of adding a water mark on the DESKTOP nor the mobile version. Is this correct?

Yes , this is true!

No...the Desktop version (Classic) has Watermarks available. Click on Lightroom menu --> Edit Watermarks.

As a professional I sometimes limit the amount of FINAL IMAGES that may be used. Watermarking is ESSENTIAL in order to protect the download or plain screen-wrapping of images. It is essential to safe guard the quality of my end product. Unedited images may be used as final product. I have had numerous times actors and even celebrities using unmarked images on their professional promotional platforms. Seeing it appearing in news outlets or even on IMBD! Without watermarking images lead their own life. Down the line the graphic designer or assistant will not ask :"DO WE HAVE THE USAGE RIGHTS?". Not watermarking hurts my business and is extremely frustrating. ADD THIS FEATURE TO CC. otherwise this program is useless for me. Great for amateurs not for professionals. Intagram:richardkoek

Even as an amateur, Lightroom CC is pretty useless to me at the moment.

I actually think this was Adobe's intention. They may have determined that their next big market for market growth were the "true" amateurs and Adobe then targeted that specific market segment. After they released Lightroom CC, the professionals created so much noise that they had to produce LR Classic CC and when they did that, it was a halfhearted sloppy product due to the rush to do public relations damage control.

Er, interesting theory, but they were released on the same day John.

Victoria, As you know, perception is reality. And when they released it, what I saw first was Lightroom CC, and I did not become aware of Lightroom Classic CC until later. In fact I did not feel Lightroom CC was of interest to me. I guess I should retract my theory so as not to mislead anyone. What I remember most is how hard it was to understand what Adobe was doing.

So it's not just me!  No watermark feature makes the program useless for me as well. Now I have to find a program to do that with - yet another expense.  I detest the new Lightroom, enough so that I will stop using the programs altogether.  They took a good product and trashed it.

Please add this feature back! We need the ability to watermark photos without having to go through a third party software or run everything through a batch program in PS.

It is a money making system.
Lightroom CC- is brilliant and easy program to use, you pay $10 per month, but to put watermark - you have to use Lightroom Classic, or Photoshop - and it's another fees per month!

No it's not it's included with your $10 subscription.

Actually its included in the $9.99 per month bundle, but that is not the point, Lightroom CC seems a little more than a toy, not a "professional" software created for professional photographers, i am very disappointed, Software like Darktable and Rowtherapee are far superior.

IT is indeed rediculous...a great deal of the Ushers are professional photographers and for us it is one of the most important features to add watermarks to protect out work!!!!!!!
