Lightroom: Cloud storage is extremely expensive

Give all subscriptions 1TB of cloud storage for free like Microsoft does with Office. As it stands, it's not competitive enough pricing to by my top-choice (I think it's a rip-off).

Giving 1TB to all subscribers for free is both enticing and appropriate. It's so much that some users will never fill it up, not near enough for more serious photographers, and a fair amount for the average user.

I can’t disagree...
But actually their reply will be: you’re not Andy paying for storage, but for the up to date software. You get LR and PS and a little storage. If you want more storage, you’ll have to pay.

Fact is, many users don’t need PS so you’re seeing it as storage with a cool mobile (LR) app. And in this case, if you don’t care about PS, it is indeed expensive.

There are, unfortunately, no other complete alternatives yet, but I’m confident we’ll see them in a near future! ;-)

He's talking about the Lightroom CC + 1 TB package, not about the Lightroom Classic + Photoshop package. But yes, you pay for the software.

These kind of messages always puzzle me a bit. People who fully expect to be paid a salary when they have a job, also fully expect to get everything on the internet for free. Never mind the people who need to create that internet stuff...

Not sure what he ment about the 1To... if he wants 1To for free, he forgets about the software... but on the other hand, if you compare to softwares such as Dropbox and OneDrive, those are great examples of software with a full free offer, which adobes doesn’t offer.

No one said it should be free, but what adobe has done to LR is, indeed, making it way more expensive, like buying it every year, whereas you could keep a LR version for as long as you want or can. But that has topic has been beaten to death and I don’t see Adobe coming back on it.
