Lightroom CC: Unable to go from Presets to Grid view
Go into Edit mode > Presets
Press "G" or click Grid Icon to go back to Grid view
LR shows Detailed view (1 photo), and two view icons (Grid and Detailed) are highlighted.
You should be able to go back to Grid view after applying a preset

Using 2.1.1 on Mac OSx 10.14.2 I am not able to reproduce what you are seeing. Only one icon is highlighted when I follow your steps.
