Lightroom CC: Nothing is working. How do I reset to factory defaults?
I use lightroom from the cloud. I have messed up the library and cannot import photos or really do anything there. Is there a reset to go back to factory defaults, can I delete of my computer and reinstall it. Will my computer recognize that I uninstalled it and let me reinstall it. This is all cloud based.
Thanks

To reset:
First Clean Uninstall/Reinstall then, second Reset Preferences.
Clean install:
- Close Lightroom
- Restart the computer
- Use the Adobe Creative Cloud
App to uninstall Lightroom CC
- Restart the computer
- Install Lightroom CC
via the Creative Cloud App without launching any other programs.
- Restart the computer
After this is complete noteA Preference File will survive a Lightroom uninstall/reinstall.
Reset Procedure:
When Lightroom opens it should be logged into your Adobe ID (inherits from the Creative Cloud app). Once you launch and have the correct Adobe ID any valid information stored on your drive will be restored and information will begin to sync down from the cloud.

In error my lightroom installed my whole Apple cloud photo library. Over 19,000 photos then got stuck in sync and has not worked since. I thought uninstalling would get rid of everything but on re-installing it did the same thing. I have LR classic on my computer and LR cc on iPad. Tried deleting photos but can’t seem to locate library to delete WHOLE library to start again. I would be grateful for any help.
my photos are backed up on my I cloud for which I pay additional storage.

To start over from scratch remove items from the cloud account associated with your Adobe ID you can:
Log in using Lightroom Desktop - allow to sync - select all items - delete - go to Deleted Items and empty - allow to sync.
Alternately you can log in at https://lightroom.adobe.com and select Account Info from the Avatar at the upper right. Select [Delete Library] and follow the instructions.
Note; in both methods you will lose all cloud-based items (Assets and Presets) and all of your computers and devices will be empty with no photos or presets.
Proceed with caution!
